Conroe Tigers Begin Year 3-2 in Kingwood ISD Tournament
The Conroe Tigers begin 2023 by going 3-2 in the Kingwood Tournament Thursday through Saturday of last week. The Tigers lost to Kingwood HS 11-1 then bounced back to beat Cy Creek HS 7-2 on Thursday. Friday they lost to state ranked Atascocita 4-0 then beat county rival Montgomery 15-1 in the second game of the day. Saturday they wrapped up the week with an exciting 10-6 win in extra innings over Kingwood Park Saturday. Read the daily wrap ups for Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the Conroe Courrier.
The Tigers are back in action this week at home as they host the 20th annual Ferrell Classic at Conroe High School and other CISD campuses. A total of 16 teams will be in town for 3 days of tournament play March 2-4. The Tigers play on Thursday at 11am and 6:30pm, Friday at 4pm and 6:30pm, then wrap up Saturday at 1:30pm. There will be lots of food (BBQ, hamburgers, jambalaya, and more) and lots of baseball.
